Insights from psychology suggest feelings and identities have more influence on what brands are selected than objective factors such as product quality or cost.
Based on the concepts of 12 Personality Archetypes by Swiss psychologist Carl Jung, we can use these in branding a business. By doing this it gives them attributes that can enhance or cement their message and give people an idea about who they are as individuals which is often lost when being marketed to everyone at once. The personalities come from different motivations for observers with each archetype having its own set of strengths and weaknesses.
