myGov Accounts Hacked

ABC News recently reported someone discovered their myGov had been hacked when her accountant congratulated her on a house sold under her name.

myGov is a very powerful tool that we need to be mindful when we use, however sometimes things happen that we can’t account for. This person did all the right things – and yet still her account was compromised.

In Australia we need to be more active in our cybersecurity. Most people don’t even think about it until after something happens, and then it’s too late. Do you have your two factor authentication turned on for all your services?
