THE CLIENT
Content marketing for food brands, from a standing start. Cookbook author Lisa Goldberg asked us to launch Walking Up An Appetite as a show and a brand.
Renowned cookbook author Lisa Goldberg approached us with an ambitious idea: launching a new online show and brand called Walking Up an Appetite. The brand / show’s concept revolved around exploring Sydney (and broader Australia), uncovering local food favourites, with each episode centred on a unique theme—from burgers to dim sum and more.
Lisa sought our expertise in content marketing to effectively promote her new show and brand on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube. Our role included creating a comprehensive marketing planner, creating, developing and scheduling engaging content, and managing her social media platforms to ensure consistent growth.
GOALS
- Increase brand awareness through daily content across various social media platforms.
- Create diverse content formats, including images, videos, and short snippets, tailored for each platform.
- Build a structured and consistent content schedule to maximise audience engagement.
WHAT WE DID
Managed and posted content across all of Lisa’s social media accounts, ensuring a cohesive and professional brand presence.
Created platform optimised visuals, including images, reels, thumbnails, and shorts, along with branded content that embodied Walking Up an Appetite and engaged its audience.
Developed and maintained a robust content planner that organised daily posts and coordinated the rollout of themed episodes and promotional materials.
Regularly liaised with Client to review performance metrics, discuss campaign results, and brainstorm innovative content ideas to keep her audience engaged.
THE RESULTS
Through our collaborative efforts, Walking Up an Appetite gained significant traction on all platforms, including approximately 2.25k new YouTube subscribers and consistent engagement, with hundreds to thousands of views on each uploaded episode. The videos saw high engagement rates, with some videos reaching over 5,000 unique views, uncovering a growing and enthusiastic audience. While the brand has since rebranded (by the client), we’re confident we laid a strong foundation for their ongoing success. Our work proved how powerful strategic content marketing can be in boosting visibility and engagement, helping to fuel the growth of the client’s exciting culinary journey.
